It's just a gravel area by the road, on the left if heading north or the right if heading south. Head down the dirt trail and you'll join the ~17 mile Browns Ravine Trail in the middle, next to the lovely wooden bridge over New York Creek. You can go many miles in either direction from here -- cross the bridge toward Browns Ravine or don't cross the bridge to head toward Monte Vista. Nice views both directions but particularly toward Browns Ravine. Opportunities to go down to the water at various points.

There's room for probably ~9 cars, which might be a problem at an especially busy time but not usually.
